My Top 10 Favorite Dessert Recipes

6–9 minutes

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the blog. This week, I’m gonna switch things up a bit and share my top 10 favorite dessert recipes. These are my go-tos, my favorite to make, and of course, my favorite to eat. I’ll share the links to each recipe as well, so you guys can try them out!

1. Matcha Brownies

My all-time favorite dessert to make is these matcha brownies. I cannot stress enough how fucking good these are. They only require 9 ingredients and are fairly simple to make, too. They’re dense, chewy, sweet, and have just the right ratio of white chocolate to matcha flavoring. Truly a heavenly dish.

To make these, here’s what you need:

  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 3 oz of white chocolate
  • 2 tbsp of matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

And here’s how you make them:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°
  • Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper and oil it
  • In a saucepan, melt the stick of butter over medium heat.
  • Turn the heat to low and add the white chocolate and matcha powder
  • Stir until it’s all completely melted and remove from the heat
  • With an electric mixer, beat the sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt on medium speed for 3 minutes
  • Add the matcha, white chocolate, and butter mixture and combine on low speed
  • Add the flour and mix on low speed
  • Pour into the baking pan and bake for 30-45 minutes
  • Allow brownies to cool for 30 minutes

2. Peanut Butter Cup Brownie Torte

My second favorite dessert recipe: peanut butter cup brownie torte. This is a super decadent, rich, and fudgy dish that is the perfect balance of sweet and salty. While they take a bit more effort to make, because it’s three different layers, I’d say it’s completely worth it. The bottom layer is a homemade brownie, topped with a peanut butter frosting, and finished off with a layer of chocolate ganache. Doesn’t get much better than that. 3. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Dessert recipe number three: pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. While this is the perfect fall dessert, I bake them year-round. The texture of these cookies is also unmatched, which is one of the biggest factors that puts them in the number three spot. One batch makes about 18 cookies, and you can always freeze the dough and bake some later. To learn how to bake these delightful, decadent, and perfectly fall-flavored cookies, click here!

4. Strawberry & Cream Cookies

Recipe number four: strawberry and cream cookies. These cookies easily make my top ten list. The white chocolate flavor pairs so well with the freeze-dried strawberries and brown sugar cookie base. These are fucking addictive. They’re also rather simple to make, and one batch makes about 25 cookies. I think the flavor is perfect for springtime, yet I’ll eat these any time of year, week, or day. 5. Granola Cookies

Number five: granola cookies. I love that these cookies use both rolled oats and all-purpose flour. Plus, all the add-ins, such as the coconut flakes, nuts, and chocolate chips, make it such a well-rounded treat. A lot is going on with these cookies, but all the flavors, such as the oats, cinnamon, and coconut, blend perfectly. There’s a perfect sweet and salty balance that makes these cookies a top ten in my book. The recipe is simple and quick—making them great to whip up anytime! Alright, number six in my top ten list is gonna have to be this protein cookie dough. And don’t knock it till you try it. While I’m a bitch who loves a real dessert (I have a massive sweet tooth), I even sometimes like a more nutritionally dense dessert. This thick and flavorful dessert is perfect if you’re in the mood for spoonfuls of cookie dough without the sugar hangover. Although there’s no shame in eating straight cookie dough. But if you wanna give this simple treat a go, all you need is a food processor and a couple of ingredients.

  • Half a container of cottage cheese (stay with me here)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 cup protein powder
  • Chocolate chips

And here’s how you make it:

  • Add the cottage cheese, honey, vanilla, almond flour, and protein powder to a food processor and blend until a dough forms
  • Add in as many chocolate chips as you’d like and blend again
  • Keep stored in the refrigerator

Lucky number seven, peanut butter cookie dough bars. If you can’t tell already, I love peanut butter and I love cookie dough. So these are right up my alley. I also love this recipe because it’s a no-bake dessert with whole food ingredients. Just another bonus to making this treat. They’re also gluten-free if that matters to any of you. And they’re super simple to make using only 7 ingredients! Crazy right? Not really, but I love a simple-to-make sweet treat. 8. Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cookies

Making our way to my eighth favorite dessert recipe, we have Cinnamon Toast Crunch cookies. It’s basically a glorified snickerdoodle. Yet something I love about this cookie is how soft and dense they are, and also how the saltiness balances out so well with the hints of cinnamon. This recipe also involves making your own Cinnamon Toast Crunch-infused butter to make the cookies with which makes the flavor much more powerful and sweet. Trust me, these cookies are it. The recipe isn’t super quick and requires a time commitment, but yeah, they’re worth my time. To make these fantastic cookies, check out the recipe here!

9. Honey Cookies

Essentially, these are sugar cookies but with a twist. The added honey gives them a subtle yet natural sweetness that’s enough to make this recipe top ten material. There’s also a touch of cinnamon, which keeps things interesting. Not as much as a snickerdoodle, but just a dash that pairs well with the honey. These don’t cook for long, making them doughy and soft in the middle. The best attributes of any cookie, in my opinion. To try out these cookies, click here to learn the recipe!

10. Chocolate Cream Cookies

Lastly, in the number ten spot, we have the lovely chocolate cream cookies! These cookies have a brownie base and are topped with a sweet icing and a drizzle of chocolate ganache. Honestly, what more can you ask for?

To bake these bad boys, here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • Egg
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3/4 cup of chocolate

Here’s how you make them:

  • Cream together 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter and 1 cup granulated sugar for 3-4 minutes, then add 1 tsp vanilla extract and the egg and mix again
  • Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, and combine
  • Roll the dough into roughly 16 balls and bake for 10 minutes at 350°
  • Let those cool for about 10 minutes while you make the frosting
  • To make the frosting, beat together the powdered sugar, 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter, milk, and 1 tsp vanilla
  • Spread this over the cooled cookies and freeze for 15 minutes
  • To make the ganache, microwave the oil and chocolate in 30-second increments and stir until it’s smooth
  • Drizzle this over the cookies
  • Keep the cookies stored in the fridge
