September was so crazy. Anyway, here’s some shit I enjoyed.
Movies and Shows
Task

It’s been a minute since I’ve watched a fine ass television show. I think the last show that brought genuine joy and excitement to my life that I watched was Penguin back in February. And as I’ve come to learn, HBO does it best when it comes to TV shows. Especially crime, drama, and thriller shit. So if you need a good show to watch, watch Task.
Food and Restaurants
Kodiak Pancakes
These never miss. A staple in my pantry year-round. Genuinely eat this shit up like there’s no tomorrow.
Egg White Bites

Not typically an egg or savory breakfast person, but I’ve been enjoying these recently.
Yogurt

In the midst of a vanilla Greek yogurt phase.
Chicken Strips
Not something I eat a whole lot, but this month, a crispy deep-fried chicken tender has been on my hit list. I’ve eaten 10 in the past 16 hours. So good.
The White Limozeen in Nashville- Goat Cheese Croquettes

This restaurant was adorable. The rooftop vibes were immaculate, and the food was incredible. The drinks were great too, but I’d say my favorite thing here was the goat cheese croquettes. Exceptional.
Strawberry Cheesecake

My sister got a strawberry cheesecake for her birthday cake, and I forgot how much I love this stuff. Need to start working this into my dessert rotation more frequently.
Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal Cream Pies

Found this recipe on Pinterest, and it’s to die for. The perfect fall dessert. I’ve been eating these nonstop. They’re super rich and decadent, and all the fall spices really elevate the flavor profile. What a pretentious sentence.
Cold Brew
A staple for every morning. Can’t go a day without it.
Biscuits and Gravy

My basic bitch order for life.
Music/Songs
Walking Away- Justin Bieber
One of my favorites from Justin’s SWAG album. Justin’s so back, baby.
JUST FUN!- Balming Tiger
Discovered Balming Tiger at Camp Flog Gnaw in 2023, and just started listening to their music again. And this one is a favorite for sure. As soon as it comes on, I genuinely cannot stop smiling.
SWAG II- Justin Bieber Album
SWAG II, dare I say, is even better than the first. Like I said, Justin is so back. My favorites from the album are Speed Demon, Love Song, Need It, Don’t Wanna, I Think You’re Special, Better Man, and Poppin My S***.
What You Want- CORTIS, Teezo Touchdown
This song is it. Teezo’s vocals in that second verse tickle my brain.
Please Do Not Lean- Daniel Caesar
Of all of my favorite songs of the month, this one’s the best. I’ve been having a Daniel Caesar moment recently, and I think this may be his best song.
We Find Love- Daniel Caesar
Another Daniel melody I have on repeat.
Shot My Baby- Daniel Caesar
And another.
Camo- Ryan Beatty
Ryan Beatty is an insanely talented musician and a little underrated. I’ve been listening to a lot of his music this month, but this one definitely stuck out to me.
7 Hours- Dominic Fike
Thanks to my Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify, this found me. Been on repeat ever since.
Activities
Reading
Reading in the fall months is just different. Reading has been a highlight of my days recently. Which is honestly kind of odd because the past couple of books I read haven’t been amazing or anything. Right now, I’m reading Shadow Tag by Louise Erdrich, and I’m not loving it. Yet, for some reason, I’ve just been enjoying reading so much recently. Maybe just because it’s a good distraction from all the bullshit.
Memories
Dancing at Posty’s
I went to Nashville this month for my little sister’s 21st birthday, and we went to this bar called Posty’s, and I shit you not, I danced for 4 hours straight. With one 5-minute intermission to take a piss break. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I was put on earth to dance, so 4 hours on the dance floor was much needed, given the dry ass bar scene in my hometown. Not a dance floor in sight. So yeah, that was a great memory.
Highlights of September
Nashville Trip
Nashville was a lot of fun. It was my second time there, but my first time truly exploring and going to any of the bars and restaurants. We did one of the pedal bike bar tours, a rooftop yoga class, some shopping, a little bar hopping, and went to some cute restaurants for dinner. And I did get a hot dog one night, so in all, it was a successful trip. Here are some photos:

Thanks for reading!
