Dinner Party

6–9 minutes

Hey pals! This week, I decided to write purely in the name of creative freedom. Simply for fun. For shits and giggles of course. And so, a while ago, I was browsing some writing prompts and I came across one that I thought would be fun for a blog post. That prompt being: if you were to have a dinner party and could invite anyone in the world, alive or dead, who would you have over and what would be served? And let me tell ya, this prompt gave me wings. So let’s talk about my dream dinner party. First off, who’s on the invite list?

Invite List:

Tyler the Creator

Okay, first and foremost. You all, I know I love this man. He always has some interesting and wise shit to say. And he genuinely seems hilarious. I’d love to meet him. So he’s gotta be first on my list.

Tyler the Creator

Pete Davidson

I’m a fan. What can I say? Also, I think he’s hilarious. And what I love most in this world is to laugh. That’s why this invite list has to be stacked with the funniest motherfuckers out there. Also, he’s one of my many celebrity crushes. Gotta keep things flirtatious for this dinner party.

The Weeknd

I like The Weeknd a lot. And for some reason, he comes across as quiet and not super talkative from what I’ve seen on social media. And yeah, it’s not like I know him or anything. But I’d like to, and that’s why he’s invited to my dinner party. I think having a conversation with him would be so interesting. Just about his experience, his music, and his life in general. And he’s another celebrity crush. What the hell, most of the people on this invite list are. So yeah, Weeknd’s gotta be there.

Salem Mitchell

Guys, I’m obsessed. Salem Mitchell is such an icon and an inspiration to me. If you’re not sure who she is, she’s a model and also the owner of Salem Goods, her own puzzle company. She’s drop-dead gorgeous, I love her Instagram, and I find her confidence contagious. I admire her sense of style. She can pull off elegant or edgy, classy or scandalous. Again, she really is an icon, and I’d love to meet her. Hear what she has to say.

Kali Uchis

If you have not, please listen to her new album, Sincerely. I listened to it for the first time this morning, and I was in love. My favorites were All I Can Say and Angels All Around Me, yet all of it is amazing. Her voice is so angelic and beautiful, and her lyrics have meaning and depth. Enchanting is a great way to describe this new album. That’s exactly what it is. Anyway, she’s invited because she’s a celebrity with exceptional talent and someone I admire because of her confidence and God given gift of music. Like everyone on this list, I’d love to meet her.

Teezo Touchdown

TEEZOOO! He’s a must for my imaginary dinner party. Literally in love with him, his music, his vibe, his energy. So yeah.

Maddie Ziegler

This one’s a little different than most people on this list, but I’m a huge Dance Moms fan and have followed her career for a long time. I think she’d add some pizzazz to this invite list. Some character, some different perspective. And there’s so much I need to ask her about the show. And her life in general. See what she’s up to nowadays.

Fibula

Love this man. He has to be one of the funniest people on the planet. So who better to have at my dinner party than him?

Fibula

Anna Archer

For those of you who don’t know, Anna Archer is a fitness social media influencer whom I really look up to. I listened to her podcast back when she did that, but she also has a lot of fun and helpful content on her Instagram and TikTok. She runs her own global run club and has been a huge advocate for girls and women in athletics. Her content honestly got me further into running, which I’m thankful for. I’ve learned a lot from her content, and I think meeting her would be a full-circle moment for me. I’d just love to have a conversation with her. So she’s invited too.

Lil Yachty

Okay, it was a toss-up for the tenth spot between this little guy and Chris Evans. And while I’m torn, I think I made the right choice. I saw him live this year when he opened for Tyler during the Chromakopia Tour, and let me tell you, that only furthered my love for him. I just know he’s hilarious, too. And I absolutely love that commercial of him eating the wings and drinking the Sprite. He should do an ASMR tour. I’d buy tickets.

Okay, so the invite list is out of the way. Now let’s discuss the menu of said dinner party. I’m having the realization right now that this is such a goofy ass thing to write about then fully post on my blog. I guess free will brought us here.

The Menu

Okay, moving on to the dream menu rotation. This may sound feral to some of you, so buckle in.

Appetizers

Frog Legs: Flash Fried and Sautéed in Garlic Butter. Literal heaven. If you’ve never tried the frog legs from Carmine’s Steak House in St. Louis, just know that something is missing in your life.

Main

Corndogs: Hot dogs, encased in a thick layer of cornmeal batter and deep-fried. Or in other words, heaven on earth.

Side

Potato wedges: Golden-brown potato wedges, seasoned with a bold blend of herbs and spices, then fried to crunchy perfection. Served hot with Cane’s sauce. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside — the ultimate comfort food.

Beverages

Arnold Palmers: A refreshing blend of fresh-brewed iced tea and tangy lemonade, perfectly balanced for a crisp, thirst-quenching sip. My favorite drink and an obvious must-have for this menu.

Starry: A bright, bubbly burst of lemon-lime flavor that’s crisp and ultra-refreshing. I didn’t start drinking Starry until recently because I can get it at work, and I have truly been missing out. I really haven’t drank soda for the past few years at all but if I crave a crisp Starry, I’m gonna drink a damn crisp Starry. Mind your business.

Starry soda

Raspberry Mojitos: A refreshing twist on the Cuban classic — muddled fresh mint and juicy raspberries shaken with lime, rum, and a touch of sugar, then topped with a splash of soda water. Light, fruity, and bursting with flavor, it’s the perfect sip for a breezy escape. As of current, my favorite alcoholic beverage. I had one at Niu in Chicago that was to die for, and in college, that was my go-to at The Heidelberg.

Desserts

Carrot Cake: Moist, spiced carrot cake layered with rich cream cheese frosting and studded with shredded carrots, walnuts, and warm cinnamon. Finished with a smooth frosting swirl and a hint of nutty crunch — a timeless dessert with cozy charm in every bite.

Gooey butter cookies: Soft, chewy, and irresistibly rich — these melt-in-your-mouth cookies are made with real butter and a hint of vanilla, dusted with powdered sugar for the perfect sweet finish. Golden on the outside, gooey at the center — a decadent treat in every bite. A solid dessert in my mind.

Matcha brownies: A unique twist on a classic treat — these fudgy brownies are infused with premium Japanese matcha for a rich, earthy flavor and vibrant green hue. Soft, chewy, and perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. And not to be dramatic or anything, but matcha brownies changed my life. My perspective on the world. Simply amazing. So dense and sweet.

After dinner, we drink, play Uno and chess, and chew the fat. Shoot the shit. That would be so cool.

Anyway, for those of you who read this far, I’m sure you think I’m weird.

I am. This was so fun, though. I love a good creative prompt. Maybe I should do these more often. Anyway, next week I’ll post again, so please join me then!

Bye for now.
